UK Reintroductions Study Tour to Slovakia 2010

Following positive feedback from a study tour to Slovakia in 2009 to see wolf, bear and lynx habitat and learn about conflicts between large carnivores and people and the solutions being implemented there, and what lessons can be learnt for potential reintroduction of these species to Scotland, Wolves and Humans and the Slovak Wildlife Society are arranging another tour this summer.

This year, as well as wolves, there will be more focus on lynx ecology and behaviour, as this has been put forward as the most suitable candidate of the carnivores for initial reintroduction to Scotland. The tour is also a fantastic opportunity to see the beautiful Tatra Mountains of Slovakia in summer, in the company of expert guides.

The tour will take place between Sunday 20th June and Friday 25th June 2010, and will cost £560. This includes return flights, transfers, meals and all excursions.
