Tracking Wolves and Bringing Back Lynx

Join The Wolves and Humans Foundation and the Slovak Wildlife Society, for an evening of talks and discussion about living with wolves and lynx in Slovakia, and the work being done to assess the feasibility of reintroducing such animals to Britain.

​

Hear from three speakers who are working  at the forefront of large carnivore conservation and reintroduction*:

Robin Rigg - Robin is chairman of the Slovak Wildlife Society, a member of the IUCN-IBA Bear Specialist Group and the Large Carnivore Initiative for Europe, and is the project leader for Carpathian Wolf Watch/White Wilderness - a citizen science project monitoring wolves in the Tatra Mountains of Slovakia.

Faye Whiley - Faye is a Durrell Institute of Conservation PhD student investigating human dimensions of lynx reintroduction, and is Species Recovery Social Science Officer for the Lifescape Project.

Scott Hendry  -  Scott is an ecologist who has worked for Highlands Rewilding, Forestry and Land Scotland and as Engagement Officer for Trees for Life/Lynx to Scotland.

There will be a panel discussion with all speakers after the presentations, with the opportunity to ask questions.
